ADAMI Veneto
Ah, Prosecco - summer in a glass! You can almost hear the gentle buzz of bees when you smell the honeysuckle and pear on the fragrant nose. Adami are small producers in Valdobbiadene, recognized for producing high quality wines on a small scale. The Bosco di Gica has the most extraordinarily persistent nose; it comes climbing out of the glass, and just goes on fizzing away with the tinniest of bubbles. It is bottled as a proper Brut, fully sparkling wine, with low residual sugar. This allows the full character of the fruit to shine through; unlike many a Prosecco bottled as Extra Dry but with added sweetness bolstering what could be unripe fruit. The tank method of production used for making Prosecco allows for bottling throughout the year to preserve the freshness and immediacy of the wine. Adami take this to a logical extreme, bottling at least six times a year. We in turn try and ship over as little as we need each time to see us through, ensuring that we always have the most recent bottling. So we can all indulge in a glass of sunshine anytime we like.
