CALDORA Abruzzo

These vineyards are located in the high hills of the Abbuzzi near the town of Ortona, and development of the winery and the 60 hectares of vineyards have resulted in great wines. The Pecorino is exuberant and rich (yet another indigenous grape variety showing great potential) and the Chardonnay has a mature nose with hints of dairy. The Sangiovese has characteristic black cherry aromas with undertones of cedar. The basic Montepulciano is deeply coloured and has bright redcurrant fruit and fine tannins, whilst the Yume has more structure and concentration.
