One of the italian wine producers that we are proud to import from is the cossentino estate. This estate is based on volcanic soils that are extremely rich in minerals making them perfect for rpoducing wine. The estate itself is only 10 hectares but this means more love and attention is put into the vines and each of them is tended with great loving care.
These italian wine producers are based in palermo in Sicily the highest part of the vineyard is nearly half a mile and these are of course the coolest parts of the vineyard so the white grapes are planted in these locations typically the inzolia and grillo grapes.
The lower part of the italian wine producers estate is full of d'avola and syrah grapes and pf course they do have a selction of merlot but these form only a small part of the wine that they produce.
