We are delighted to welcome this highly regarded winery into our portfolio. This producer has been receiving great media praise and attention for more than a decade now on both sides of the Atlantic. About 200 growers supply the wineries with grapes that come from some of the most highly regarded cru in the Barbaresco area. Only Nebbiolo-based wines are produced using vinification methods that can positively be described as traditional. Long maceration of the skins (for up to 3 weeks) is followed by a lengthy period of further maturation in large (20 to 30 hl) oak barrels. The Barbaresco, from the superb 2001 vintage, displays a classic nose of rose petals and red fruits with an intense structured palate. The fabulous single vineyard Barbarescos from the outstanding Ovello and Asili cru show great complexity and finesse.
